Ghosted by Tinder dates

Arrrrggggghhh! It’s so freaking annoying!

Spending time to get to know someone, making the effort and all that energy invested into one person for them to meet you and ghosts you.

To be honest, I go through waves of caring and then I go through moments where it doesn’t bother me because I myself didn’t notice I’d been ghosted.

But you know when it’s really frustrating? It’s when you actually like a person, you’ve invested days sometimes months into getting to know a person and they meet you and disappear. Imagine what it does to ones confidence….

That date I went on in my post Just finished yet ANOTHER Tinder date! Ghosted me. He wasn’t right for me, but he could have been decent and ended that encounter respectively. It’s soo freaking rude!

I was really fed up of Tinder, and decided it wouldn’t join me in the new year. I’ve appreciated meeting people and enjoyed my many many dates. It’s certainly helped rebuild my confidence. But it has equally knocked my confidence especially when many that I encounter have a black girl fetish and really have no interest in being in a relationship. I’ll write about this in more detail in the next post.

Now, I’ve left the world of Tinder….. maybe I should start by making eye contact with humans on the train 🤷🏽‍♀️ I can just imagine how creepy I’d look!

Truth is, I don’t know how to meet people. Everyone’s so busy and it’s hard to catch someone’s eye when they’re fixed to their phone screen. Nor do I want to look weird staring at people hoping they’ll notice me. But, whatever. I blame society, not me…..🤣

I can’t allow being Ghosted to cause a new anxiety so I better let this online dating thing go……

Signs into POF…………

F*ck my life!

Until Next Time.

I would never survive in that dating scene. I relied on the old friend of a friend method myself, though I did spend 11 years as a single mom.

  3. Maybe something like match would have a calibre you’re looking for though I’m not sure what you think about a paid site . I met my husband on pof, God knows how! I got countless messages from people on there wanting to enact their black lady fantasies, it opened my eyes to how weird some people are. Just as I was ready to quit the site, my husband turned up. Hope it goes well and that you’re enjoying dating x

    1. Well there may just be hope for me then! My ideal would be just meeting someone in person but that’s so hard nowadays. I did pay for a subscription of eharmony once and had to get my money back it was soo bad. To be fair I think your onto something here though 🤔 😉

    1. That’s lovely, I’m definitely going through phases of being ok with it then hating it again. Gosh I can’t imagine what it would be like to actually wake up next to someone though.
I can only imagine I’ll be on here ranting about something 🤣

  5. Oh my God this is sooo me!! I feel you giiirll I’m always wondering if a guy llikes me or if he just hasn’t tried black before and has always wanted to see what it would be like. It’s so annoying not knowing as those with a fetish will just move on once they’ve sampled some melanin. I also vowed I was done with dating apps after my last situationship ended… this lasted one day and then I was back swiping away haha. Good luck on your next date!
